Where we drive

Road distances are counted from Tbilisi, where most of our guests stay, but we pick you up wherever you are. Choose a place to see the route, the stops and how the day goes.

Two cars for long mountain roads

Every tour is private: the car and the driver are yours for the day. Our drivers speak Georgian, Russian and English, and both cars have all-wheel drive and air conditioning.

  • BMW X5

Four passengers in comfort, plus a third row for children

Roomy, steady on mountain roads and with space for luggage. The third row folds out when a family needs the extra seats.

  • Mercedes-Benz ML 350

    Mercedes-Benz ML 350

Four passengers in wide leather seats

A soft ride and a very comfortable cabin. Our favourite for long days such as Kazbegi or Kakheti.

Travelling as a bigger group?

We can add minivans and buses from companies we know well. Their drivers join our team for the day, so everyone travels together on the same route.

How a trip comes together

  1. Tell us your plan

Send your dates, the places you have in mind and how many of you are travelling. A rough idea is enough.

  2. Get a route and a price

We reply with a suggested route, timings and one price for the whole car.

  3. We pick you up

At your hotel, apartment or the airport, and we bring you back at the end of the day.

Hotels and restaurants in Mtskheta

We work with hotels and restaurants in Mtskheta. If you would like to stay the night or have a long Georgian lunch along the way, we can book it as part of your trip.

A family-run company

IM Tours is run by Ivane Mamulashvili: the I and the M in the name are his initials. We are based in Mtskheta, the old capital of Georgia, twenty minutes from Tbilisi. In the photo, that is Jvari Monastery on the mountain behind our BMW.

We drive our guests in our own cars, plan every route ourselves and are happy to change it on the way. We want the drive to be part of the journey, not just the way to get somewhere.

From our guests

Truly remarkable and comfortable tour in Georgian mountains. Thank you IM Tours!

Questions we often get

How much does a tour cost?

It depends on the route, the number of days and the size of your group, so we price every trip individually. Send us your plan and we will reply with one price for the whole car.

Where can you pick us up?

Anywhere in Tbilisi or Mtskheta, at Tbilisi International Airport, or at your hotel elsewhere in Georgia by arrangement.

Which languages do your drivers speak?

Georgian, Russian and English.

Can we change the plan during the day?

Yes. The car is yours for the day. If you want to stay longer somewhere, add a stop or skip one, just tell your driver.

What if there are more of us than fit in two cars?

We add minivans or buses from companies we know well. Their drivers become part of our team for the day, so a group of any size travels together on one route.

Do you organise trips of several days?

Yes. We plan multi-day routes such as Tusheti and can book hotels and restaurants along the way, including our partners in Mtskheta.
